ABOUT US
Alternative Choices is a program designed for individuals with special needs. We have been serving Calhoun County since 2005. We added Jackson and Hillsdale Counties in 2015. Each month, we provide services to more than 100 individuals. We currently work with Summit Pointe, Lifeways and Calhoun-Eaton-Ingham CMH.
Alternative Choices services include; in-home community living supports, community inclusion, and working with children with autism and special needs. We recently added fiduciary services to the list!
Our staff receive extensive training and continuous support in order to provide the best service possible to the individuals. Alternative Choices does background and license checks on all staff to ensure the safety and well-being of all of the individuals. Staff receive training and certifications in Mandt, CPR-First Aid, Person-Centered Planning (PCP), Recipient’s Rights, and Blood Borne Pathogens, Covid-19 and annual training as required. We follow the Home Community Based Services or HCBS guidelines, as required by the state.
